Singer/songwriter/harpist Lana (Donnelly) Quinn will be one of the featured performers at the _____________(Festival /Event) . Lana was born and raised in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and has lived in North Battleford with her husband and three children for 14 years. Lana’s show, “Harp and Song for the Spirit” will be held at the (place)_________________. city______, (date)_______(time)

Lana released her first CD “One Step Away”, in 1997 and her second CD “Ye Are the Angels” January(04). The Irish/Scottish influence of her east coast roots echoes through all of her songs, as well as the years of vocal training with renowned teachers Lisa Hornung and Lynn Channing. Her CDs have featured other Saskatchewan musicians such as Byron Olsen, Martin Janovsky, Joan Savage, and Brenda Moates, Keith Bartlett, and Roy Sydia

Many of the songs you will hear at the concert are original, and from her recent CD. Some of these are: “Run to Her ” a song about the maternal/eternal nature of the sea and a tribute to the beauty of the Prince Edward Island shores; two poems “I Meant to do My Work Today” (Richard LeGallienne) and “Judge Tenderly” (Emily Dickenson); “Another Tune, Another Rhyme”, about escaping housework. “Mystical River “from her first CD, is about our spiritual journey through life and beyond, and has been a favorite with fans for over twenty years.

Recent performances include The Her-i-cane Festival 2006 (Saskatoon), the Sundog Handicraft Faire, in concert with Jeff Straker (Feb.2006), the gala opening of the Golden Eagle Lodge in North Battleford (Nov 2006), three concerts with Karen Scott-Barse, Rhonda Morari and classical guitarist Landis Maitland-Whitelaw, in Regina Saskatoon, and Indianhead(Oct. 2006). She has held concerts in Meadowlake, Swift Current, Fort Qu’Appelle, and performs regularly at banquets,weddings and special events around the province. Lana performed some of her own compositions at the annual conference for the North American Association for Baha’i Studies entitled “Spirit and Intellect” which took place in Calgary at the Hyatt Hotel in September (04).
